The Process of Science

Our first units this semester have had a major focus on the process of science. Students have been able to understand what science involves. We have been engaged in a number of activities that have helped students to gain the confidence to do science well.

Students have learnt to ask questions and formulate hypotheses. They have practiced science skills such making precise and accurate measurements, predicting and critical thinking.

Students have also learnt how to make observations using their senses of sight, touch, smell and hearing. We took some time also to look at notable scientist and their work to understand and learn from their experiences about how they made their discoveries.
This knowledge has allowed our students to develop skills to be able to devise experiments that give answers that could be interpreted.
