Study routine of class 2A

In grade 2A Mathematics this semester, we have been exploring units of measurement . Our class has been learning about the systems of measurement that countries all over the world use. Students are learning two units of measurement: Imperial (used mostly in the US), and Metric (which is used in China and countries all over the world). Our class learned about how certain units of measurement add up to larger units, such a centimetres to a meter. To that end, we applied some real – life practice to measuring ourselves!

Our students were given tape measures and were tasked to measure parts of their body, like arms, head, legs and told to write down these measurements in both Imperial and Metric. Our 2A students had so much fun applying their knowledge of math to real world situations.
