It is important to develop a sense of story character to create a love for reading.
This week the Kindergarten dressed up as their favorite Disney characters. It allowed them to explore that a character represents the "who" in a story, and they had lots of fun doing it.
Storytelling in the classroom helps with literacy development and improves oral language.
They had fun conversations discussing their favorite characters and their favorite Disney movies. It was a great learning opportunity for the students to develop their listening, speaking, and comprehension skills. They even had a fun fashion show to show off their fabulous outfits. It is always possible to have fun and learn at the same time.
"Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever." —— Walt Disney.
