Reading Challenge Results

“The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you will go!”

– Dr. Seuss.

During the month of March, we challenged each international class to read as many English books as they can. The results are amazing! We are proud of each student, and we can already see an improvement in their responses in class, vocabulary, and spelling. Reading is an amazing skill that should be developed from a young age.

Through the month of March, the International Department has read a combined total of 5,246 books. They spent 63,277 minutes reading.

Here are the results per division:

Lower Primary

1st place – 1B with 1,137 books

Upper Primary

1st place – 4A with 591 books

Middle School

1st place – 6B with 378 books

Congratulations to all the winners! Keep reading!

Language is the most powerful tool human beings possess. And reading is one of the most fulfilling and effective means to master this tool. The habit of reading, if inculcated at an early age, helps in brain development and enhances imagination. It’s never too early to read to a child and to build this habit. It’s a gift for a lifetime.
